Governance and Operational Structure

The Club Society shall initially function under an ad-hoc committee for the first five years, during which period the Bhagavad Gita Foundation for Vedic Studies will manage all operations through a formal five-year operational contract.

This arrangement ensures that the vision, discipline, and dharmic integrity of the project are firmly established before the transition of functional control.

After this initial phase, elections will be conducted in accordance with the Telangana Co-operative Societies Act, and the governance of the Club’s activities and programs will be transferred to the Members’ Association, or as otherwise resolved by the Society in compliance with its by-laws.

The Society shall not alter the allocation or usage structure of rooms associated with Membership Types A through E, ensuring that the annual stay entitlements of members remain consistent and legally protected.

While the land and infrastructure will continue to be owned by the Bhagavad Gita Foundation for Vedic Studies, the Club members shall retain the right to participate in decision-making concerning the conduct, nature, and scope of the programs and activities offered within the premises — thus ensuring democratic participation and member-driven cultural development within the dharmic framework of the Club.

Voting Rights for Regular Members

Voting rights among regular members are structured to reflect the number of annual stay days included in their membership type, not the number of individuals.
This ensures that decision-making power corresponds to each member’s level of investment, contribution, and engagement rather than simple headcount.

Every 10-day membership block entitles the member to 1 vote.

 For example:

  • A 10-day membership receives 1 vote
  • A 20-day membership receives 2 votes
  • A 30-day membership receives 3 votes
  • A 40-day membership receives 4 votes
  • A 50-day (Club A) membership receives 5 votes
  • A Club X (360-day) membership receives 36 votes

This structure promotes balanced and proportionate governance, rewarding those who have invested more time, spirit, and dharmic commitment in the shared vision. In all resolutions — whether related to infrastructure upgrades, policy changes, or strategic direction — it is not the number of members, but the majority of days held that determines the outcome. This system ensures that those most deeply aligned with the Club’s mission and who have made the greatest contribution to its dharmic growth have a proportionate voice in shaping its future.
